Most boring title ever? Maybe. But Blue Border is one of my favourite recent paintings. It was a very stubborn piece, going through several identities before I finally figured out what it really wanted to be. Some pictures are just like that. Difficult, but eventually they tell you what you need to know to bring them to life.
