I've named this picture, Cool Not Cold, because, next to the warm red and yellow and green, the light-blue feels icy to me. The paints were thinned with water making them a bit more translucent than usual and I quite like the resulting effect. The painting feels more fragile, more delicate. Like it’s melting. Cool, not cold. Acrylic paints on a gallery canvas 36" x 48", with a poplar frame painted black. Thanks!
