This painting is called Shaking Off The Dew and I, personally, love it. I hope some of you do, too. It starts with the conceit that plants are sentient organisms and behave accordingly. (Maybe they do, what do I know?) Anyway, this picture depicts, from below, an imaginary flower vigorously tossing its head from side to side, drying off to face the new day. Acrylic and house paint were used and the 36 x 48-inch canvas is framed in poplar painted black.
